Parts manufactured, sold, or distributed by Butter Welding may not meet your state’s emissions requirements and are sold for off-highway use only. It’s your responsibility to comply with all local, state, and federal laws. Installing or using Butter Welding products may affect your vehicle’s warranty or insurance coverage. You're responsible for any consequences from using our products on your ride.

Butter Welding assumes no legal responsibility or liability for any damage to vehicles, engines, people, or property related to the installation or use of our products—whether directly or indirectly, properly installed or not.

Warranty Policy

Our goal is simple—build solid parts that do what they’re supposed to do. Butter Welding warrants all standard, non-custom parts to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase, assuming:

  • The part was installed correctly
  • It was used in a normal (non-abusive) way
  • It hasn’t been modified, damaged, or neglected

If you think you’ve got a defective part, contact us before sending anything back. If we agree it needs to come back, we’ll issue an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Return shipping is on you, and the product must come back with proof of purchase and a note explaining the issue.

If the defect checks out, we’ll either repair or replace the part—no BS, just the part.

Return Policy

If we ship you the wrong part, reach out to sales@butterwelding.com for an RMA number. We’ll swap it out once the incorrect item is returned and verified.

Installed or modified parts can’t be returned.
Returns are only accepted if:

  • The item is unused
  • Still in like-new, resellable condition
  • Not custom or made-to-order

We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee on returned items or cancelations. Fees range from 20% to 40% depending on the situation.

Refund Policy

Once a return is approved, refunds will be processed using your original payment method, minus:

  • Restocking fees (if any)
  • Original shipping costs
  • PayPal or credit card transaction fees
  • Internal processing fees (equal to or less than transaction fees)

You’re also on the hook for all shipping charges involved in any return, including the original outbound shipping.

Refused packages don’t automatically qualify for a refund. You’ll need to coordinate that with us directly.

If you paid via PayPal and later change your mind, we’ll deduct the original transaction fee from your refund since PayPal doesn’t return those to us.

Example: A $500 order has a $14.80 PayPal fee. Your refund will be $485.20. If we add a processing fee of $14.80, you get $470.40.

Shipping Policy

We ship most orders via USPS, unless you request something different. Want UPS or FedEx? Reach out after ordering and we’ll quote you any cost differences.

Important note: Shipping insurance does not cover theft—so ship to a secure location and make sure someone’s around to grab it. Insurance only covers loss or damage in transit. If a package shows up damaged:

  • Tell the carrier right away
  • Take photos before opening
  • Keep all original packaging
  • Send us everything so we can file a claim

Failure to follow these steps voids the insurance coverage.

From the insurance provider:
“Keep all packaging and damaged goods in original form. Do not dispose, return to sender, or release to the carrier until the claim is processed.”

Shipping cutoffs:

  • 1:00 PM PST for First Class & Priority
  • 11:00 AM PST for Express
    Orders usually ship same-day (Mon–Fri), but it depends on workload.

Choosing “Priority” shipping doesn’t guarantee same-day processing. If you’re on a deadline, email us first to confirm stock before selecting Next Day Air or Express.
